Construction Work Stopped Across Gurgaon As Air Quality Remains Dangerous In Delhi-NCR
The enforcement wing of the Gurugram department of town and country planning (DTCP) has slapped notices on 118 developers, asking them to stop all construction activity at their project sites across Gurgaon with immediate effect.
"We are in an emergency situation due to the high level of pollution. Developers have been directed to send their compliance reports through mails," said Rajendra T Sharma, district town planner (enforcement).
"If any construction work is noticed on licenced plots, the matter will be referred to the directorate (town and planning) for further action against the erring colonisers, who may face heavy penalty as well as strict action as per the provisions of the relevant Act/rules," he added.
