Indian Doctor Faces Jail In US After Pleading Guilty To Groping A Minor On Flight

  Vijaykumar Krishnappa, a 29-year-old Indian doctor has pleaded guilty to groping a minor girl who was sitting next to him on a New Jersey-bound United Airlines flight. According to reprots, the physician was flying from Seattle on July 23 when he allegedly assaulted a 16-year-old girl sitting next to him.      Krishnappa appeared before a federal magistrate in Newark on Wednesday. Krishnappa admitted that while the victim was asleep, he intentionally touched her near her groin over her leggings without her consent, Acting US Attorney William E Fitzpatrick said in a statement.    Under terms of a plea agreement, the Indian national will be sentenced to between 30 and 90 days in prison in January. The minor girl, who was travelling, was asleep on the flight, when a stranger's hand on her thigh awakened her. After Sentencing Him To Death In April, Pakistan Now Allows Kulbhushan Jadhav To Meet His Wife

After denying repeated requests from New Delhi, for consular access to detained Islamabad said on Friday that it has informed the Indian High Commission here that it would allow him to meet his wife. "A note verbale to this effect has been sent to the Indian high commission in Islamabad, today," Dr Mohammad Faisal, Pakistan foreign office spokesperson, said. "The government of Pakistan has decided to arrange a meeting of Jhadav with his wife in Pakistan, purely on humanitarian grounds," Faisal added.  The move comes days after Pakistan's foreign minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif welcomed a US offer of mediation in easing tensions with India. It's believed that the two countries had discussed the issue last month in a meeting between foreign minister Sushma Swaraj and the newly appointed Pakistani high commissioner to New Delhi, Sohail Mahmood.

Construction Work Stopped Across Gurgaon As Air Quality Remains Dangerous In Delhi-NCR

The enforcement wing of the Gurugram department of town and country planning (DTCP) has slapped notices on 118 developers, asking them to stop all construction activity at their project sites across Gurgaon with immediate effect. "We are in an emergency situation due to the high level of pollution. Developers have been directed to send their compliance reports through mails," said Rajendra T Sharma, district town planner (enforcement). "If any construction work is noticed on licenced plots, the matter will be referred to the directorate (town and planning) for further action against the erring colonisers, who may face heavy penalty as well as strict action as per the provisions of the relevant Act/rules," he added.

Yuvraj Singh emphasised why it was important to detect cancer at an early stage, saying it paves the way for curing the disease. Singh said he could be cured as the cancer was detected early. "Sixty per cent of the cancer patients can be cured, provided the disease is detected at an early stage," he told reporters. He said sometimes prayers play a more vital role in a patient's recovery than medicine. He said tobacco was one of the causes for cancer and urged people not to consume it.
